Political topics and insights

This has been one of the messiest years. With the ongoing rampant COVID-19 cases, the first year of college being online, and the election, many can say they are very stressed out and disconnected from the rest of the world. I am dealing with home renovations going on around the house and people who I consider close to me moving away either for college or for other personal reasons, it is easy to feel alone and depressed most of the time. Being in a group project with an incoming deadline was stressful. especially when everyone was so disconnected, unsynchronized, or absent. It felt like everyone was pointing fingers at each other and playing the blame game.

We just made the deadline by a hair because we all congregated in the end and sorted out our issues, which is the best thing that we could've ever asked for so I guess it was not so bad after all the nail-biting stress that has been going on for a couple weeks before the presentation and I actually learned so much about current issues we have in the world today as well as broadened political Horizons. It is projects like these that really help a person make a well and informed vote for the elections. The stress is temporary but who you vote for is permanent.

Group one talked about law and order protests, rallies, and education, topics that are relevant problems in today's world, which is a common theme in all the groups. we all know that the American education system isn't great and how teachers are severely underpaid for all their hard work. Not to mention the high amounts of stress they put students under. As for Law and order protests, I feel like rallies and protests really help spread different ideals and bring attention to important topics like the Black Lives Matter movement. although it does have its downsides such as street violence and police oppression. overall, I think group one did a spectacular discussing such important topics.

Racial divides and the pandemic are extremely relevant topics that group 3 covered thoroughly with the help of pictures and bullet points. it is hard not to know about these two topics these days since it is all that is seen in the news. From police brutality to the numbers of fatalities.

We live in a world full of many issues, group 3 really shed some light on the two issues we hear about every day and has proven, at least to me, that the situation is far more serious than I had previously thought it to be. The project, in general, has been a real eye opener to me and has proven its severity to all of us.
After finishing the project, I hope that everyone can take in all the information provided to us to make a well informed decision on who to vote for, but since its already pass election day, I hope that you already voted, or at least be mindful and take action to protect and improve the lives that live within our very problematic country.
