On our second month of online learning, we finally had our second presentation. This presentation covered  many controversial and significant topics that affect each of us in various ways. Each group tackled the task and did thorough research on each individual topic. These topics are important to be discussed, especially because of the world we are currently living in with the most disputed and vital presidential election of all time. Since our class consist of young adults about to participate in their first elections, it's very useful for us to have a project on the topics that are extremely prevalent in our lives.

The first group was assigned to research and present on the topics law and education. They discussed the rallies and the protests that have been happening in response to the constant racial injustice and police brutality. This topic is extremely important to talk about and make sure everyone is well educated on what is going on in our country because people are dying due to their skin color which is beyond unfair, so making sure to have proper information is vital which is something group 1 did. Their presentation was straight to the point and this is beneficial when discussing such serious topics because it allows everyone to fully understand and see how crucial everything is. They also presented on education and how its been affected by Covid as well as how education has changed over the recent years.

The second group, which is my own group, presented on the topics immigration and healthcare. We discussed the history of immigration and how immigration laws/policies have impacted various individuals as well has healthcare and how these two go hand in hand. These two topics go together and have been heavily debated in countless manners and since we live in Miami, an epicenter for immigrants and because half of us come from immigrant families, this topic impacts us directly. My group was a bit disorganized and we struggled to coordinate and communicate but pulled through at the end. Our presentation had a lot of words which wasn't the best thing but we still included good visuals and short, straight to the point videos to help the class understand and remain engaged in our presentation.

The third group presented on the topics racial divides and the pandemic. Group 3 delve into Black Lives Matter and how people have been protesting and fighting for their rights. They showed videos of the protests and did a great job at introducing organization that have been helping out. They kept their presentation filled with visuals, videos, and never provided an overwhelming amount of words, which is highly appreciated. They also spoke about the global pandemic and although we are all tired and fed up of hearing about it, the group still gave great information and informed us of the various stages the country went through, like shutting down schools and different establishments and even the countries that are still closed. Group 3 did a great job in explaining their topics while keeping the class engaged.

Overall, each group, despite any difficulties or struggles, presented and made sure to include the necessary information to help educate and further inform the class.
