Our Second Project

             The best part when doing a project is exposing it. I love being able to explain my points of view and also listening to other’s opinions. For my speech and communication class we already did a second project. As the first time we divided the class in three groups. Each group had two important topics. We also had to read a couple of chapters from our book, and use that knowledge while presenting our work. Now I would be talking about my experience and about what I think about the other groups. I will start talking about the first one.

            The first group talked about law and education. In my opinion they performed an amazing job. They also made really good points. These are really important topics that matter to everyone. From what I heard, this group had a bad communication between them, but despite that, when they were exposing their project, everything looked well. They used pictures and graphs that made it easier for the rest of the class to understand their points of view.

            The second group was mine. Our topics were Immigration and Healthcare. Sadly, I did not enjoy this experience. There were not enough communication between us, and because of that we were having trouble to turn in our assignments on time. I have to be honest and admit that I do not really like working in groups. From my experience in high school and now in college, I can say that it is not my thing. I really enjoy doing the work alone and being responsible for my own mistakes. At the end, our project had a lot of good information. We got in depth in our topics, and were able to express our points of view. Those are two important topics, so there were a lot to talk about. As our last project, we made it too long, especially me. I did not use a lot of pictures. Instead I wrote a lot. For the next project I will try to summarize my ideas and use more pictures and graphs. Regarding to my partners they also did a great job when presenting, but like I mentioned before, I feel that we did not communicate enough. I really hope that changes when we work on our next assignment.

       And last but not least my favorite group was group number 3. They did an amazing job. While presenting their work they showed a lot of knowledge, and they did a well organized presentation. One of the members of the group was not there, and despite that, they kept going and did their best so the project did not look incomplete. They talked about Racial Division and the Pandemic. Those were the hottest topics for this year, 2020. Definitely, in the future we will remember this year. They made good points, and each one of them made clear their opinions. They used a lot of pictures, graphs and short videos that went straight to the point. I really liked this group.

       I hope to have a better experience in our next project. All I can say is that I have been learning from my mistakes and I will use that knowledge to do a better job next time. I would also like for my partners to help more, be more interested in our assignments and to have a better communication so we can turn in everything on time and create a wonderful project.
